Tudor Mint News:
=============
Big news to start with this month. Jean Wood from the Tudor Mint has recently sent this message to DragonsCavern;
"...The Watson Group is closing down as Graham [Hughes - the director] is retiring. This will probably take place at the end of May, although this isn't definite yet. Discussions are underway with another giftware company who has shown an interest in taking on M&M etc but obviously it's too soon to give details....
We will be doing the Extravaganza and this will obviously be a bumper event...and there will be prizes and bargains galore....members will receive the summer edition of Methtintdour Times which will be written by us and sent out from Solihull."
Following this message DragonsCavern has been talking lots to both Jean and Sue at the TM, and Sue added this when asked whether the collectors club would be continuing with a new owner; "...we are assuming that the collectors club will be in with the 'package' as you put it. As soon as we know anything either Jean or myself will contact you."
As you can imagine, this is unexpected, and big, news. We will of course post any more news we receive about this in both the forum and blog as soon as we get it.

Also in the forum we've been running a challenge to the members - to scour the internet for something related to the collection that we built during the Christmas period.
Well, after two months of looking, it has been found because "The Methtintdour Tourist Board" has been located. Simply visit http://www.methtintdour.co.uk to discover a "magical Island located within the Greatswell sea".
The latest collectors club members pieces are now available, and we have received ours. Both pieces are stunning, especially #9035 'The Guardian of the Watchtower' which is simply awesome.
We've been wondering about how some eBay members manage to send emails to collectors without the collectors handing over their email address willingly. Well, with help from another eBay member we can now reveal how they manage it.
Within eBay, there is the facility to ask a seller a question. This system we've discovered has one major flaw to it. If you send a seller a message, you have the option to "hide your email address" from them. If they reply to your question, and you then reply back there is no option to hide your email address. In addition, your email address is listed when they receive your reply. It is from this second email you send, that a seller can obtain your address.
There is a way to avoid this though. Always start a fresh "ask a seller a question" when you want to clarify more details. Never reply to a sellers reply to your question. This way you will avoid receiving any unwanted message from a seller spamming you with details of their latest sales.
Changes to the site:
===============
Gereog's Dairy is growing steadily, and since last month he has revisited Bray, discovered a family of giants, and found an old friend.
We're also hoping to have the two latest members only pieces added to the New Chronicles during the month.

Voting:
=====
Last month on DragonsCavern.co.uk we were asking; How would you rate Samuels service when collecting the Fortune Finders trilogy?
The results are:
They were great 08.33%
It was acceptable 25.00%
They had no idea 25.00%
They were useless 41.67%
For March we are asking;
Many of the newer large studies have been released with several small crystals rather than one large crystal. What do you prefer?
Take part in the vote using the buttons on the main page, or in the contact or vote section. Results will be announced in the April newsletter.
Requests:
=======
If you have a prototype study, or a rare version of any item please send it to us for inclusion on the prototypes/rare pages. Use the submit
form on the contact page of the website. In addition to this, the 'wanted' page of the website lists studies that we are looking for images for. If you are able to help with those, please contact us.
That's all for this month. If you have any news, websites, announcements or comments that you would like to see in the next newsletter, or if you are a trader / collector who would like to be featured in an article in a future newsletter, please contact the webmanager.
Sincerely ,
