Newsletter No.11  April 2005

Welcome to the April newsletter from the DragonsCavern website

This month we have news on:

    • Tudor Mint New Additions
    • Changes to the DragonsCavern website
    • Vote Results and a new vote

Tudor Mint New Additions:

There are no new studies released this month. However, members of the collectors club should have received the latest copy of the Methtintdour Times, issue 37. Aside from images of Xannov, the 15 year celebration piece, there are also images of the studies within the new Eye of the Temple range that is released later in the year.

Changes to the Website:

We have sorted out the annoying pop up message that we were temporarily seeing in Internet Explorer whenever a new page opened. This was due to our new menu facility being incorrectly coded when we entered it into the website templates (slapped hands all round here!)

We have also recently discovered that visitors using Internet Explorer and XP Service Pack 2 may find the menu blocked and a message referring to Activescript being displayed at the top of the page. Please be assured, you are safe allowing the menu to display. There are full details about this issue posted within the blog (http://blog.dragonscavern.co.uk/)

The news page has moved from the website into the blog, as this means we can add the latest news quickly when we receive it. Remember that most posts to the blog are comment enabled, just click on the comment option, and send your view on a posting. We are already receiving many comments from collectors around the world, and thank you for these.

There are three new sections that have been added to the website; The Land of the Dragons, Crystal Mementos and The Eye of the Temple. At the moment these new sections only list the studies, but later in the year we hope to make these sections like the rest of the website, with images and notes on each study.

We have a new interview that has just been added to the subscribers area of the website. We've been talking to Mr Myth and Magic himself, Graham Hughes. Read his thoughts on the future of the range, how he views the yearly Extravaganza, and his personal favourite study.

To access this area, remember your username and password.

Finally, Issue 6 of the Methtintdour Times has been added to the site using the Flash Flipviewer.

Voting:

Last month we asked, Should the Tudor Mint release more midi sized studies.

The results are;

Yes 83.34%

No   16.66%

For April we are asking:

The Myth and Magic Collectors Club has an annual Extravaganza that provides collectors the opportunity to see the next seasons studies, as well as a chance to obtain very rare versions of them. How do you view this event?

Take part in the vote by using the buttons on the main page, or in the contact or vote sections. Results will be announced in the April Newsletter.

Requests:

If you have a prototype study, or a rare version of any please send a photo for inclusion on the prototype/rare studies pages. Use the submit form on the contact page of the website. In addition to this, the "Images Required" page of the website lists the studies that we are looking for images for. If you are able to help with those, please contact us.

That's all for this month. If you have any news, websites, announcements or comments that you would like to see in the next newsletter, or  if  you are a trader / collector who would like to be featured in an article in a future newsletter, please contact the webmanager.

Sincerely,
Webmanager
