  • Questions answered by The Tudor Mint,
  • Vote results and a new vote.
  • Related sites and products news.

Tudor Mint new additions:

Commissions:

6010 - The Circle of Flames (Argos)
6011 - The Enchanted Unicorn (Argos)

Changes to the site:

Front Page new look:

The front page of the site is about to undergo a redesign with a simpler look to it. Gone will be the images for all the sections, and in will come links to the monthly vote, subscribe, news and contact sections.  There are two brand new sections - previous newsletters can be now read on the site a month after they are sent to out to you, and the results of previous votes can be viewed too.

Voting:

Last month on DragonsCavern.co.uk we were asking what is your favourite study theme. The results are:
Dragons:  85.71%
Wizards:   14.29%
Fairies:     00.00%

So, it seems that dragons are the most popular choice of study. Fairies however, don't seem to be too popular.

For July we are asking:

Which sized study do you prefer: miniature, standard, large or extra large.

Take part in the vote using the buttons on the main page, or in the contact or vote section. Results will be announced in the August newsletter.

News and Announcements:

  • DragonsCavern has spoken to a member of staff at the Tudor Mint this month and asked a few questions that collectors have been wondering about (please note, these are a particular member of staffs view, and are not be taken as the official Tudor Mint response):

Q. Will the TM be setting up an online store to sell studies?

A.  We have no plans to set up an online store as we are committed to our retailer base, many of whom have been with us from the beginning and have been very loyal customers.

Q. Regarding the Argos pieces, what happened to 6008?

A. They tend to carry best selling items forward from their previous catalogue and just top up the range with three new pieces. We submitted 6 designs to them and the ones they chose were not in number order. Whilst we could have renumbered the pieces, the models had already been sculpted so we decided to run with the numbers originally allocated as we were short of time.

  • We've been contacted by the author of the unofficial CDRom with the latest news:

"The latest position is that the catalogue is now complete. We are simply waiting for the new Argos pieces to be released (July) so we can include them and we will begin shipping. The price of the disc will be £25 but along with that will be a voucher from Collectables Mail Order offering up to 25% discount on orders which means you could quickly make some of your money back. Pre-registration is still at mythandmagicman@yahoo.co.uk .   The catalogue contains approx. 800+ items and over 2,500 photographs"

  • Direct sales on Dragonsmagic.

Martin Guy's site, dragonsmagic, has announced a new feature - Direct Sales. He writes;

"Each item for sale has its own description as some are brand new and others are in good condition, Also some have boxes and some don't so please read the description. Most of the items that are in direct sales section I only have 1 of so should you order something and I find that it is out of stock then I would of course refund your payment.(the section is updated on a daily basis so this should be limited) . You will find that you can pay direct using Paypal or Nochex at no extra cost and the site will transfer all the details for your payment which is secure and uses the secure server of these two payment companies. We also offer a postal discount on multiple purchases this is taken into account when making your order." Visit http://www.dragonsmagic.co.uk/ for more info.

Requests:

If you have a prototype study, or a rare version of any item please send it to us for inclusion on the prototypes/rare pages. Use the submit form on the contact  page of the website. In addition to this, the 'wanted' page of the website lists studies that we are looking for images for. If you are able to help with those, please contact us.

That's all for this month. If you have any news, websites, announcements or comments that you would like to see in the next newsletter, or  if  you are a trader / collector who would like to be featured in an article in a future newsletter, please contact the webmanager .

Sincerely ,
Webmanager
