Welcome to the August newsletter from the DragonsCavern website.
This month we have news on:
* Tudor Mint New releases
* Changes to the website
* Vote Results and a new vote
Tudor Mint News:
We mentioned in the June newsletter that the new extra large piece - Daredevil - would be released later in the year. The price of this piece has been confirmed at £399.95, and will be limited to 500 studies sold on a first come first served basis. Images of this can be found on the website in the large studies section (ref 3660). There is no more news from the TM this month, and no more new studies released.
Changes to the Website:
We mentioned last month that we were throwing open the doors to the blog for those of you who wanted to become posters of information within it. Well as a result of this we can announce that there is a new feature being launched for subscribers only - the New Methtintdour Chronicles. Thanks to "The Storyteller" there will be a regular supply of stories based on the studies in the Myth and Magic range added to the website. An extract from each story will be posted by The Storyteller in the blog, with a link to the Chronicles section of the website for you to continue reading it. We have seen the first few stories based on the members only range (ref 9xxx) and they are very good. Look out for the first few in the subscribers section now
Exclusively for subscribers too is the Methintdour Times section, and we have added more issues of the club magazine for you to view. As we have said before, for copyright reasons we can only allow the contents of the magazines to be read using the "flipreader" on the website.
To access your exclusive subscribers section of the website, please use your username and password.
Do not forget that for the latest news, visit the DragonsCavern blog; http://blog.dragonscavern.co.uk where we add news as soon as we get it.
We are still looking for other collectors and traders to post to the blog. Just contact us in the normal way and tell us what unique feature you could add to the blog and we will get back in touch.
Changes to the arrangement of the website have meant that we have removed the "interact" section, and replaced it with a new "community" section. This section features links to the guestbook, newsletters, sales, voting, study care, banner links, external weblinks, and more. We have also added a new feature - a guestmap where you can pin your location onto the UK map. If this proves successful then we will be adding a world map for other visitors to pin their location to. The "about us" section is now more concise too and links to site news, contact forms, copyright information, contributors, the blog, and how to donate.
The Eye of the Temple section is complete with images. Please read further down for news on The Land of the Dragons and Crystal Mementos sections.
Voting:
Last month we asked, "How many studies do you buy in a year?"
The results are;
1 - 5 09.09%
6 - 10 36.36%
11- 20 18.18%
21+ 36.36%
For August we are asking:
Will you be tempted to collect the Eye of the Temple range of studies?
Take part in the vote by using the buttons on the main page, or in the contact or vote sections.
Results will be announced in the September Newsletter.
Requests:
We are busy creating two entirely new sections this summer - The Land of the Dragons and Crystal Mementos sections. If you have any images of early Land of the Dragon studies, please send them to us for inclusion on the website.
If you have a prototype study, or a rare version of any study, please send a photo for inclusion on the prototype/rare studies pages. Use the submit form on the contact page of the website. In addition to this, the "Images required" page of the website lists the studies that we are looking for images for.
If you are able to help with those, please contact us.
That is all for this month. If you have any news, websites, announcements or comments that you would like to see in the next newsletter, or if you are a trader / collector who would like to be
featured in a future newsletter or in the interview section, please contact the webmanager.
Sincerely,
Webmanager
