Changes to the site:
Notice the changes?
The whole site has undergone a subtle redesign. The main pages have all been templated, so it is now much easier for us to make site-wide updates. The search facility has been altered to make sure that the whole image fits onto the pop up window. Please contact us with your thoughts and comments on this.
New section - Subscribers Section:
There is a new area of the website available to newsletter subscribers only. At the moment there is one section available; dragon and wizard related games. These are either online games that use Macromedia Flash or Shockwave, or downloadable applications that are saved onto your computer. At the moment there is;
- An online Flash version of Spyro the Dragon,
- Merlins Quest' a Shockwave game,
- Trogbar' an hilarious Flash based dragon game,
- Alchemy', a Flash based Rune related challenge game,
- A downloadable ZXSpectrum emulator program that will allow you to play The Hobbit adventure game from the 1980's.
To access the games, click on the subscribers link on the navigation bar on the top of each page, or use the link from the sitemap. The subscribers section will grow over time, with more sections exclusively for the newsletter subscribers.
Links:
We've added a new website to the links section within DragonsCavern. Now you can adopt your own dragon, and receive a certificate to prove it from the Adopt a Dragon foundation.
The site has been built by an old friend of DragonsCavern. Kevin Palivec, better known as Malathar (he provided the images that we used when we created Dragonsville in 2003) has been running the adopt a dragon site for several years (in fact when a UK school were creating the online game DragonQuest - based around The Land of Dragons - in 2001 they adopted a dragon from the site. There was a short feature about DragonQuest in issue 29 of the Methtintdour Times, the magazine of the Myth and Magic collectors club.
DragonsCavern have already adopted a dragon called Brac - you can see him on the website, along with his adoption certificate.
