Tudor Mint News:
============
The Tudor Mint have been trading on eBay recently. When we asked about it, they told us "We have some surplus mainly ex-mail-order stock...It won't be a general occurrence, just very selective selling." We hoped that this was the beginning of the Tudor Mint selling directly online, but they inform us "we can't sell the current catalogue [commission] stuff on ebay because if they are exclusive pieces they are just that, and we can't sell them anywhere else until that particular catalogue season is finished." However, if the eBay sales go well, maybe the TM will look into their own webstore.

We also have a piece of exclusive news that was passed onto us direct from a member of the TM staff. The 2007 extravaganza is currently being arranged, and it seems that Jean (Wood) and Graham (Hughes) planned a meeting with Drayton Manor staff at the end of August to discuss a possible venue. We wonder how it went...

Other News:
========
We have one word for you - Samuels! They seem to be suffering from the same problem as when the last trilogy was released. Thank you to the subscribers who contacted us with the problems they had ordering the first piece - Unicorn Fortune Finder. We passed these onto the Tudor Mint who contacted the Samuels seller. It seems that a flood at the plating factory initially delayed the shipment of the study to stores. However different stores were giving different advice about whether or not they could order the item in. Thanks to one of our Forum users - Strider Grey - there is a solution to any problems that you have had, because all stores CAN  order the piece in for you. They may say that they do not have the information to do so, but you can give them the following codes that Strider obtained:
SIG 20 The Unicorn fortune finder is H Samuels stock code 5679346
SIG 21 The Wizard fortune finder is H Samuels stock code 5679354
SIG 22 The Dragon fortune finder is H Samuels stock code 5679370
With this information a store can obtain the Unicorn for you now, and place the other two items on order. We know, because we successfully tried this in a store. We have since contacted Samuels with many suggestions - letting all stores know the stock numbers, and putting the trilogy in their webstore being just two of them. So far, they have not replied!!

We have also begun a test of a semi-regulat chat. You can see the chat software in the subscribers section of the website. Future chat times are listed in the calendar over on the forum. If you haven't already registered with the forum, why not do so now and see the discussions that take place (this month there have been a lot of thoughts about Samuels!). Also within the forum, we've opened a second virtual store; "Gereog and Tomepickers Bespoke Outfitters". Now you can spend your hard earned drouts on clothing too!!

Our site sponsors - Enchanted Gifts and Collectibles - have redesigned their website recently, and have a very simple navigation system now. Take a look; they ship to the UK too.

Changes to the site:
==============
There are two New Chronicles added for subscribers - 9029 Master of the World (the tale of an ambitious dragon, Rodgar) and 9030 The Crucible of Light (how one wizard tried to take the fear of night time away from ordinary people). Coming this month from The Storyteller will be 9031 The Ancient Magic, and possibly 9032 StarChaser.
Our Methtintdour Times Flash Flipview feature now contains issues 1 through to 30. We will continue adding more over the next few months.
Also, 'an interview with...' has been updated and our conversation with Jean Wood (PA to Graham Hughes at the Tudor Mint) added.

Finally, we are very excited about a new feature we are developing for subscribers. DragonsCavern:MyChart is an online database system that  allows you to log in and make a personal list of the studies in your collection. You can add studies, delete studies and amend details  and comments for each study, and print off a hard copy at anytime. Being based on a database, we store the information online for you to access whenever you wish to. At the moment we are 'tweaking' the feature with Beta testers. We aim to launch the service properly in late September / early October.

Remember that to access to the subscribers section, use your username and password.

Requests:
=======
If you have a prototype study, or a rare version of any item please send it to us for inclusion on the prototypes/rare pages. Use the submit form on the contact page of the website. In addition to this, the 'wanted' page of the website lists studies that we are looking for images for. If you are able to help with those, please contact us.

That's all for this month. If you have any news, websites, announcements or comments that you would like to see in the next newsletter, or if you are a trader / collector who would like to be featured in an article in a future newsletter, please contact the webmanager.

Sincerely ,
