Tudor Mint News:
=============
The second piece of the exclusive H Samuel trilogy - the Fortune Finders - is due to be released this month. Now, we thought that this was Sig21, The Wizard Fortune Finder, as reported on the Tudor Mint website, but after speaking to customer support at Samuels, they told us that Sig22, The Dragon Fortune Finder, was being released "in 2 weeks". Frankly, we're not suprised at the confusion - getting reliable information from Samuels has been impossible recently.
Other News:
==========
As we reported briefly in the blog last month, we have been talking to a secondary trader of studies who is about to open a shop selling Myth and Magic. We think that this is great news and it means that you should be able to purchase both new and retired studies from someone with a passion for the collections. When we have more information, we'll pass it onto you directly in the blog. Amazon and DragonsCavern has teamed up to bring you great books. Our forum members have been discussing their favourite fantasy books, and you can now buy these books directly from amazon through our new 'aStore'. The books listed are classics, and worth a look.
Changes to the site:
===============
There is a new feature that has been added to the blog. We can now pin important announcements at the top of the blog, so that it remains as the first item for as long as required, whilst other newer news appears below it. We've already used this to post a reminder for chat, and will repeat this for futire chats.
The Forum continues to grow, and we've asked several members to become moderators of sections within the forum to ease our workload. You'll be able to identify moderators easily as there username appears in green on the "who's online" section. Many thanks to those members for offering to help with the forum.
After the initial chat on the forum, we weren't impressed with the quality that the forum chat service offered, and so we've set up a proper facility on the website. There are scheduled chats once a month (usually the last Wednesday of each month), for anyone to attend using the link that is shown within the community section of the website. However, our subscribers can access the chat 24/7 through a link within the subscribers section. That way, you can arrange a meeting with other collectors whenever you wish. Please note that this is a beta facility, and the service may change as we test areas of it.
:MyChart officially launched at the end of September and has proved popular already. If you haven't yet tried it - give it a go. You can create a personalised list of the studies that you have, those that you are looking for, and those on your wishlist. We have added new section codes, so now you can also list your Land of the Dragon, and other resin, collections from The Tudor mint. The :MyChart service is exclusively available to our subscribers.
Remember that to access to the subscribers section, use your username and password.
Voting:
=====
Last month on DragonsCavern.co.uk we were asking; How do you display your studies?
The results are:
They're all boxed 5.88%
Some are out, some boxed 17.64%
They are all on display 76.47%
For October we are asking:
Can you trust eBay and the sellers who use it?
Take part in the vote using the buttons on the main page, or in the contact or vote section. Results will be announced in the November newsletter.
Requests:
=======
If you have a prototype study, or a rare version of any item please send it to us for inclusion on the prototypes/rare pages. Use the submit
form on the contact page of the website. In addition to this, the 'wanted' page of the website lists studies that we are looking for images for. If you are able to help with those, please contact us.
That's all for this month. If you have any news, websites, announcements or comments that you would like to see in the next newsletter, or if you are a trader / collector who would like to be featured in an article in a future newsletter, please contact the webmanager.
Sincerely ,
Webmanager
